# Closlyo

## What it does

- Type an address and it returns the roof area and the pitch. Nobody gets on a
  ladder to measure.
- It runs the measurements through your own price book and gives you the
  quantities. Your materials, your labour rates, your margin.
- Set the margin you want and it works the price backwards, so the margin you
  asked for is the margin you keep.
- GST and QST appear as two separate lines, never rolled into one total. This is
  a legal requirement in Quebec.
- The tax follows the property, not your office, across thirteen provincial and
  territorial jurisdictions.
- Your RBQ licence number appears on the quote.
- The same quote in French and English — one document, not two.
- Revise a quote you have already sent and the version the customer received is
  still there, dated.
- Photographs organised by roof section — before, during, after — collected into
  a PDF report.
- Status changes, notes, photos and completed tasks on a single job timeline.
- Invite your office staff and set what each of them can see.

## What it does not do

Stated plainly, because these are the things people assume a product like this
does:

- No invoicing.
- No automatic text or SMS reply to missed calls.
- No storm or hail tracking, and no automatic alerts to past customers.
- No published measurement-accuracy figure. Area is stated with a design
  tolerance and edges that need checking are flagged for site confirmation.
- Address coverage is genuinely incomplete and varies a great deal by city.

## Status

Closlyo is in beta. It is built and run by one founder in Montreal, Quebec, and
was designed with roofing contractors rather than for them.
